Keep Coverage Information Up to Date
Some Bensman clients who have their auto insurance with Travelers might be getting a call soon from Travelers checking to make sure that the information the carrier has about your insurance policy is accurate. But even if you don’t have coverage through Travelers or you don’t get a call, it is a good idea to let us know about any changes in your life that could affect your coverage.
You no doubt already know that you should give us a call to update your auto insurance if you get a new car or a new driver, to update your homeowner’s coverage if you buy a new house or add onto your existing one, or to discuss your life insurance if you get married or divorced or have a new baby. But big life changes like these are not the only things that can affect your coverage needs.
For example, if you change jobs or go back to work after taking time to raise your children, that could change the distance of your commute, which in turn could affect your auto policy. Or if your child takes a car to college, that also could have an effect.
Your homeowner’s policy could be affected by putting in an alarm system or by updating the system you already have. Buying a dog could have an impact on your coverage. And when it comes to life insurance, a new grandchild can be reason for a discussion.
At The Bensman Group, we are independent agents. That means that our loyalty is to you, our clients, and that we are your advocates. We can be much more effective advocates if we know what’s going on in your lives. That way, we can help you get the coverage you need at the best possible rate.
We also believe in building deep, meaningful relationships with our clients. And again, the more we know, the better the relationship we can build with you.
Because of our commitment to you and your needs, we review your insurance coverages with you periodically. But those reviews are only a snapshot in time. In between reviews, we count on you to let us know about things that could affect your needs, or your rates.
So give us a call at 847-572-0800 or firstname.lastname@example.org, and let us know what’s going on in your life. We’d be happy to let you know if it has a potential impact on your insurance.
