Update from Bensman Risk Management
By David Miller
It’s hard to believe that half of the year is officially gone already. It used to be that you got used to the New Year when you stopped writing the prior year in your checkbook. Now with online banking and debit cards, we don’t have that same “touchstone”. It seems like I’ve barely blinked my eyes and we’ve gone from the Bears losing the Super Bowl to 4th of July fireworks.
To say that it has been a busy year would be a cliché and an understatement. Bensman Risk Management is growing at a double-digit pace for the 8th year in a row. Thanks to you, we have also earned Chubb’s Cornerstone designation for the third year in a row. Cornerstone is a designation given to the top Chubb insurance agencies in the United States. Approximately 8% of Chubb’s 3,700 independent agents are recognized as Cornerstone agents each year, and we have earned the recognition since its inception.
Because of this growth, we have recently added a new member to our team and are actively looking for one more. We are also revising some of the responsibilities within the organization to better serve you.
Kristen Savage joined our organization last month as a Risk Management Advisor. In addition to working with a variety of high net worth individuals, Kristen has developed a specialty working with residential real estate professionals and their clients, designing insurance programs to fit their specific needs. We are very excited to add Kristen to our team.
Mary Kloss continues her great service to our clients with a promotion from Client Support Specialist to Personal Lines Manager. She also recently obtained her insurance producer’s license and has completed Chubb's one week Producer Development Program in New Jersey.
Amy Rakestraw is now filling the position Mary used to hold. Amy is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois. Her primary role is to track late/overdue insurance payments and make sure a client’s policy does not lapse or cancel due to nonpayment of premium. Many of our clients travel extensively and will occasionally overlook a premium payment.
As she gains more experience Amy will also process auto ID requests, certificate requests, and other administrative duties.
Rob Terranova remains as a Personal Lines Manager and has also taken on the role of Claims Coordinator. Rob will oversee the claims process to ensure that our clients receive excellent service from their insurance company at the time they need it the most.
Therese Potoczny has been promoted to Senior Personal Lines Manager. Therese also assumes the roles of Database Administrator and Licensing Administrator. These “behind the scenes” positions are invaluable to our organization and ensure that we perform your requests efficiently, consistently, and legally.
Without you, none of this change would be necessary. We thank you for your continued business and the friends, neighbors, and co-workers you have referred to our organization. We look forward to the 2nd half of 2007 and the continued growth and challenges of our business.
