Someone You Should Know: Rosemarie Weinstein

Rosemarie Weinstein joined The Bensman Group in November as Managing Director/Individual Property and Casualty. She has more than 20 years of experience in insurance services, including risk management, sales development and operational leadership. For the past several years, she worked with a private broker agency focusing on finding risk management solutions for high-net-worth individuals and families.
Despite her success, Rose’s introduction to insurance was serendipitous. She had a question on her property coverage and, because her agent had retired, she went to another agent for the carrier to ask her question.
“That agent told me I would be great,” she laughed. “I said, ‘What are you talking about? I don’t know about insurance. That’s why I am here talking to you!’”
But the agent said that Rose was friendly and intelligent, and understood what he explained to Rose about her policy. He urged Rose to consider becoming an agent. She did, and once she started her training, she discovered that she really enjoyed it.
"I am a definitely a people person, who enjoys meeting and getting to know our clients,” Rose said. “My goal is to provide them solutions regarding risk management. I use a very consultative approach by advising them about their coverage, what their exposures may be that they aren't considering, and providing them with a risk management solution for their personal insurance.”
The clients and potential clients at Bensman are mainly high-net-worth, which means that their property and liability concerns can be very complex. For example, they might own multiple properties in different states. And because of their net worth, it is particularly important that they be protected against liability as well as property losses.
Rose's primary goal is to provide Bensman clients with outstanding coverage for a reasonable premium. In order to accomplish this, she develops relationships with clients through regular interactions and during policy reviews. Rose explains what coverages the client has, and she provides recommendations for
policy changes, when appropriate.
The solutions are presented so that the client has a full knowledge and understanding of the policies. Rose believes that this helps build a foundation of trust between the broker and client. It is so important to the client to know that the broker has the client’s best interest in mind at all times. Building trusting relationships is critical to guiding clients through the process.
Rose values her staff and is committed to helping them grow in their development. "I am so pleased with our team and their knowledge, skills and dedication to serving our clients,” she said. “We have a bevy of committed individuals who take such pride in their work. I look forward to helping our team continue in their development, which is a win for our agency, clients and staff."
She graduated cum laude from Elmhurst College with a bachelor of science degree in business and marketing. She has two children and lives in the northern suburbs. She enjoys cooking, fitness, traveling and reading.
Rose is happy to talk with you about any of your insurance or risk management needs. You can reach her at 847-572-0828 or at rweinstein@bensman.com .
