Be Prepared -- There is Still Plenty of Winter Ahead

The start of the winter was relatively mild. But that is changing. It's time to remember your winter preparedness plan -- or to make one. It should include:
Your furnace and fireplace should be inspected by a professional. Change your furnace filters regularly, so that your furnace runs more efficiently.
If you take medication regularly, make sure you always have enough for at least three or four days.
Keep your car's gas tank filled. Also have fuel for your snowblower, generator, etc.
Keep your cell phone charged. And in case you lose power, have flashlights and a battery-operated radio on hand -- with extra batteries.
Check on elderly relatives, friends and neighbors if the weather gets bad.
Don't take chances driving. If at all possible, wait until the roads are cleared.
Being prepared can keep you safe and comfortable when the weather turns nasty. It might even save your life. At The Bensman Group, we can help you prepare for whatever happens in your life. We are happy to talk to you about your insurance and risk management needs. Contact us at 847-572-0828 or at rweinstein@bensman.com.
